After graduating from the University of Auckland in 2017 with a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours I returned back to my home base in Christchurch. I have worked at Curtis Vision during my externship and value the time and attention to provide the best eye care for each individual. I have a keen interest in myopia control and specialty contact lens, Orthokeratology. Outside of the testing room, I enjoy the outdoors and dipping my toes in home automation.
I graduated from the University of Auckland in 2018 with a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours. My final year externship was spent at Curtis Vision under the tutelage of the immensely respected Michael Curtis and I was incredibly pleased to be offered a position at the completion of my degree. I’ve continued to work alongside Michael as a peer and mentor since. I believe communication is key and I enjoy going the extra mile to meet my clients needs. I do my best to ensure that everyone leaves with a thorough understanding of their vision and eye health.

“Optometry offered an ever evolving profession where I could ultimately make more of a direct and immediate impact to people lives. Helping people to see all they can see and be all they can be continues to resonate.”
I began working as an optometrist in 2017 and since then have always strived to provide the very best service for my patients. Early on I developed a real interest in glaucoma and completed training with an ophthalmologist in 2019 to achieve independent glaucoma prescribing. I now split up my work week between Curtis Vision and St George’s hospital which allows me to immerse myself in specialty contact lenses, general optometry and glaucoma. In my down time I enjoy the great NZ outdoors in the shape of mountain biking, snowboarding and learning how to surf amongst other things.
